About Lighthouse Band
Lighthouse Band is a Charleston-based live music ensemble blending jazz, soul, R&B, blues, gospel, and contemporary pop into a timeless live music experience. Whether performing as a duo, trio, or full band, our mission is to create an atmosphere that is authentic, engaging, and memorable while honoring the rich musical traditions of the Lowcountry.
The name Lighthouse reflects who we aspire to be both on and off the stage. Just as a lighthouse provides guidance, hope, and a steady light in the darkness, we believe music has the power to bring people together, encourage the heart, and create meaningful moments. As followers of Jesus Christ, our faith shapes our character, our relationships, and the way we serve every audience.
Led by bassist and vocalist Jailan Williams, Lighthouse Band features Jorge Chocobar on keyboard and saxophone, Carl Taylor II on guitar, and Justin McKenzie on drums. Together, the group brings a fresh interpretation to familiar music through tasteful arrangements, improvisation, and expressive musicianship inspired by artists such as Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Mint Condition, John Mayer, Frank Sinatra, and Bruno Mars.
